For personal
reasons, I have to leave my position as EGJUG Leader and soon isA we
will have a new JUG leader. I will support the EGJUG team as much as I

Felipe Gaucho, our colleague, JUG leader, Java evangelist and long time java.net collaborator passed away yesterday.

Thanks for all people supported us in JDC 2008 it was a great success and major achievement of the Egyptian Java User Group.

I would like to share with you latest article by Hazem Saleh published in IBM Developer Works portal about RIA development using IBM JWL and GMaps4JSF. GMaps4JSF is a software component developed by Hazem Saleh to integrate between JSF application and Google Maps. Yet another brilliance from Hazem Saleh whom we are proud of, Hazem is co-author "The Definitive Guide to Apache MyFaces and Facelets" book and a blogger about the J2EE and JSF. After his contribution in MyFaces and book released, he started another project for Google Maps integration with JSF.

Last week Geertjan Wielenga has interviewed Amr El Adawy, a developer of JSPX framework. Amr is first,main and active contributor in this interesting framework, check the interview. Well done Amr and keep up the good work.

Dear EGJUG members,

I am very happy to announce that our friend Hazem Saleh has published his first book about JavaServer Faces with co-operation with other authors. Hazem is FCI-CU 2004 Graduate "the dream team of CS department :D "  he is an expert in J2EE/JSF; and Apache MyFaces contributor. Beside the Java; Hazem is a real programmer 'Geek', smart in problem solving, mathematics and algorithms.

Hazem is working for IBM and old member in the Egyptian Java User Group.
